Im just thinking that i dont really need linux as i dont plan on doing any real development on my tablet. Windows 10 seems to work really nicely as it fills in all the gaps in windows 8. If you have not yet tried it I would recommend all of you to try windows 8 for atleast a week as it works VERY nicely. Especially if you delete the android partition and use the full 32GB for windows. Also (not confirmed) it seems as though you get an extra 6GB back by using windows 10 as the recovery partition is no longer needed. I will confirm this soon and get back to you.
Other similar devices can't however, its fairly easy to install GRUB on the internal flash and let it boot from the SD card. Is the USB hub I recommend, it has some limitations but others I've tried have been worse.

You cant charge while using that mode on the usb hub that lets you go into the boot menu ? and you should not switch to another mode while running from USB. However I just install running on battery, there is no problem. Teaser image time ? Now the audio driver is a shadow over me, so I can close this issue. ? And also presumably I have compiled drivers for the touchscreen but I need to figure out where to put the firmware in addition, and what firmware file.
